Planning and Scheduling

Developing integrated master schedules, analyzing the data, integrating other data sources as well as providing easy to interpret analytics and reports for our clients is what we do.

Our Scheduling Team is made up of professionals that have been involved in some of the most complex projects within the most in-demand industries in the market. We aim to be efficient with our scheduling methodology and reports to provide our clients with modern solutions to demanding problems in construction planning.

Our overall approach is to provide master schedules of the project and travel on site as needed to perform pull plans using the last planner system or conduct field walks and update progress versus schedule. We also provide schedule training and develop programs for scheduling divisions. The following sections below will highlight our expected scope, tools as well as techniques used, and our unique methodology and reporting to ensure trades, construction teams, and the various stakeholders are all overly satisfied with the creation of a smooth scheduling procedure and update process from start to finish.

Below are the activities identified as part of our planning and scheduling scope of work that we offer:

  • Meet with the Design & Procurement team to establish a Preliminary Design, Long Lead Equipment, and Construction Schedule.
  • Organize a Pull Plan using the Last Planner System methodology in which all the trade partners, client’s team members and the client representatives are all adding their activities and responsibilities. All these are to be integrated into a P6 schedule that is based off Touchplan as the main tool for the contractor.
  • Organised WBS from Level 1 to Level 5.
  • Use of a coding structure to highlight any potential delays (i.e. weather, weekends, holidays, trade partner specific schedules)
  • A proven method to engage Subcontractors, Superintendents, Project managers, and Project Executives by providing a scheduling document that is simple, clear to read, and allows for analysis across all stakeholders involved to ensure fluidity of communication and information.
  • System based scheduling from unique numbering sequences in order to provide predecessors and successors which establishes the logic needed.
  • Develop a scheduling process, plan, strategic roadmap, and documentation for scheduling services.
  • Create and maintain a Baseline Schedule.
  • Conduct necessary field walks for progress update.

  • Float Reports for critical or near critical activities (TF<5) for any desired location/system unique in the project.
  • Change order and time impact analysis.
  • Workarounds and task force meetings for any issues that might affect the schedule.
